The Only Hope And Help For Man

Those who put their trust and hope in God are a blessed people, as they have come to know only God is the one who can deliver them from all their trouble! (Psalm 33:12-20).  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.

Nothing that we do in this life is out of our own strength, and we must not forget every perfect gift comes from God and it is He who gives us the strength and ability to make a living. (Ecclesiastes 5:18-19).  Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion. Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

When God is our only hope in this life, everything else pales in comparison to all He is capable of doing. We can be confident that no matter what befalls us we are never alone or without hope! (Jeremiah 17:7,8) Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. ( Psalm 147:11).

  1. “The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.” ( Psalm 147:11).

How good and comforting are the promises of God.

    Blessings
