Every day we make decisions on various things, but within the day do we stop and wonder if what we’re doing is pleasing to God? Does including God in our day make a difference? It matters to God! There are some who do not even think of him for days on end. We see this when God is pleading with his children to return to him! (Jeremiah 2:31,32) O generation, see ye the word of the Lord. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee? Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.
We are hated because we do not bend to what the world views as right in the eyes of God. The word of God is not evil, but when his people speak His words they are taken as offending someone (John 16:1-3) These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
When we set our mind on what is pleasing to God we have no struggle of right and wrong, Jesus was looked down upon when he stood his ground in showing God’s teaching of his house of prayer that the merchants were trying to turn into a den of thieves…… Jesus loved many, yet would not stand by silent when he saw his Fathers place being used as something opposite of a place of prayer. (Matthew 21:11-13) And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, my house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
To have the mindset of the world and to constantly strive to get the worlds goods will take our eyes off the whole purpose Christ died to gather his people to himself for. We are to look for the kingdom coming and not concentrate on all that exists presently before us and as this life is temporal and fleeting. The saying nothing is forever holds true, because no matter how great and wonderful our lives are at times, nothing can compare to the true riches of the kingdom of God which awaits us which was bought and paid for out of love by our Saviour. (Philippians 3:18-20) For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ
The Kingdom of God is within us and we are a living sacrifice while living here. One day we will live in a world with no more divisions or seperations by different religions! Just peace and joy serving the one who died to give us life! As for me and my house we will serve the Lord, no matter how unpopular it is to the world which surrounds me! Who do you serve?
“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” Proverbs 30:5
His Word is pure and everyone who takes heed to it become pure.
A vital word in this day of mixture.
