It is written recompense is mine, I will repay saith the Lord. By this statement we can rest in knowing that no matter what is going on in our lives, God is overseeing our entire life from birth to death. When we live for Him, He allows us to see He is at work in the earth and our enemies do not over take us. (Psalm 58:10,11) The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. So that a man shall say, verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

Dear people of God don’t ever feel like your alone, we serve a God of gods who is all knowing and will repay those who have chose to trouble us in this life. It is even written God considers if we are His children and do His will it is then a righteous act on His part to repay those who trouble us.  (2 Thessalonians 1:4-8) So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgement of God; that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you. And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When Davids house was surrounded by his enemies to kill him he writes in the 59th Psalm of this event of his life. We find comfort in the words he is praying to God for, because David knew as well as us that God is our strength and defense in our life. (Psalm 59:5-10) Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah. They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city. Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear? But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision. Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence. The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.
