Created For HIS Purpose

Even before the world was created God predestined His people who would live a life according to His purpose. They are a people who would answer the call on their life! (Romans 8:28-30) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified……. (Romans 9:11).

When we lived away from God and did not know of the salvation found in Christ we were without God in the world. Through sincere repentance do we come to realize the power of the blood of Christ to draw us into a closer relationship with Him, we then live according to His ways and not our own. (Ephesians 2:10-13)  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ……. (Psalm 100:3)

As Christians we are sealed for His will, called for His purpose and set apart to do righteousness that makes a difference in the world! (2 Timothy 1:7-10).  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

Life was created for a purpose for us all, and in the book of Ecclesiastes we are given a list of every purpose we all go through in this life (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

  1. “Life was created for a purpose for us all…” Eternal life is given for eternal purposes… far beyond this temporal place. How rich and measureless are His purposes for those who have been apprehended by a grace that surpasses all understanding…

  3. Your article was inspiring! Predestination has been a subject I have struggled with for years. There have been many theological destinations of predestination. Then I discovered the simplicity of scripture. Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the conclusion, the first and the last. It’s like the greenhouse I’ve been working on for the last month. I bought the material two weeks before my first stroke the week after hurricane Josephine in 2018. Although covered most of the time, I knew there would be some warped, crowned and bows in the pressure treated yellow pine material and I’ve tried to work around the wood imperfections. Found one set of rafters 3 & ½ inches off on the ridge. How can only one set be off center and the rest be right? Dilemma! My dimensions seemed to be wrong along the way, so I checked and rechecked and found a 12 foot 2×8 ridge board that was 3 & 1/2 inches longer than 12 foot. First time I’ve ever seen that! The first one I used was exactly 12 foot. One never gets an extra inch on a 12 foot 2×8. No need to cut it. Do on 2×4 and an extra ½ inch on 2×6, but never any extra on a 2×8. What to do? Unscrewed the 2×2 ridge splice, cut off the extra 3 &1/2 in and recrewed ridge splice. Today, ever rafter was center on the ridge and all the 4×4 posts as designed and planned. Lesson learned? Aways measure every board and never assume! Tomorrow, I hope to finish ridge bracing at each end for plum with the precut braces. Guess what? The finished roof system is as designed and planned. Predestination does not mean there won’t be problems along the way. Sure glad my friend in Jesus was a carpenter. LOLGB+

    • Great analogy for the Lord who is a master builder has in the earth vessels of honor and dishonor, and He alone knows those who are being prepared for His use in the earth and in the one to come as they are predestined. (2 Timothy 2:19-21). Strength in Him Always.
