God the Father has the ability to place His Son to live within His people through the Holy Spirit, and this is as a sign to unbelievers of the hope and glory of God. (Colossians 1:26-28) Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest (known) to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory; Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all .
Jesus at times spoke in parables like in the parable of the seed and the sower. Some would understand our Lords message clearly while to others it was as a puzzle. When the Holy Spirit is given it allows a person to see and understand in ways they never could before! as though scales are removed from their eyes and His message is more easily understood. The word then has greater meaning to the believer as never before, for the Spirit is given when a person through faith is obedient to the will of God (Mark 4:10-12) And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. (Acts 5:32).
People as they grow older will often say as they gain more wisdom, if I only knew then what I know now. It would be too overwhelming for a person to know all the knowledge the Holy Spirit guides them into at one time, and fortunately for us we are taught by the spirit the mysteries of Gods truth in His time (John 16:12-14) I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
God has also revealed to us another mystery and that is of His church which is not many denominations (Divisions) a lot of people may think to be true, but has created one true church which is the body of believers born of His Holy Spirit. ( 1 Timothy 3:15,16) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (1 Peter 2:4-10).
Faith is the what unlocks the mysteries which God has for His people, and without faith it is impossible to please Him. By being obedient the mysteries of God unfold and are revealed! (Romans 16:25,26) Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.
