How many of us were brought up being told how wrong it is to lie. When we’re young we know it’s a bad thing, but when we’re older we learn lying can even keep us out of heaven! (Revelation 22:14,15) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates of the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Whether we believe it or not we live in a world that satan is the god, and his favorite job is in keeping people deceived from the knowledge of God. He tries his best to make the wrong look right as people follow like sheep to the slaughter, and lies are presented as truth! (2 Corinthians 4:3,4) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The enemy of our soul satan isn’t fictional, but works through those who allow his ways to be worked through them and it is always things that are opposite of the righteousness of God. Jesus did not say he was the Way, The lie, And the life. For those who do not want to be of the truth of God He clearly says He will send them strong delusion so they can believe their lies! (2 Thessalonians 2:9-11) Even him, whose coming is after the working of satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.

Those who follow Christ stand out as different and laughed to scorn if they do not want to conform to the worlds ways, lies included. A good example is have you ever been among people who think a dirty and degrading joke is so funny and yet it makes you feel so uncomfortable? Did you know it’s biblical as a Christian to feel this way? For that which is naughty a liar will like. (Proverbs 17:4) A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.

Lying and a guilt trip is one of satans many device’s he uses to keep the people of God intimidated and oppressed. That is why it’s so important to know the scriptures for yourself, so your aware of all the lies satan tries to pass off as truth. The wrong is never justified in God’s eye’s, no matter how pretty a package it’s wrapped up in! Too many go through life taking lying lightly, and do not realize if they are not written in the Lambs book of life and continue lying they are forfeiting their soul’s resting place ( Revelation 21:23-27) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
