The Word Offends, But Press On

There will always be children of obedience and disobedience in the earth, yet we are told the word of God is offensive to the sinner and we who follow and obey it are blessed. Jesus (Yahshua) Himself said: (Matthew 11:6) And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. Who wouldn’t want to live as they want then just go on into heaven, But to think this way shows we’re not making any sacrifice of living in service to Christ.

When we live as the world does it is easy to fit in and be liked. Our Lord never cared if He fit into the world’s mold, only to carry out His Fathers will in the earth and this way puts a stumbling block in front of many people to this day. He is known as a stumbling block and rock of offence for a reason. People are offended when you tell them that they are the temple of God and Jesus (Yahshua) is the chief cornerstone of the spiritual church He bought with His own blood. (Hebrews 2:6-8) Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. (1 Corinthians 3:16,17).

We can probably think back through the years when we knew a friend or relative that was so much fun in celebrating different things together, and all they wanted to do was talk about the Lord. They only focus on their new life and the salvation of God and we kind of distance ourself because they seem to be on a different path now. All truth be known they have found a different path and found Christ, and it is a narrow path of truth the world takes offense to and they have what scripture calls been born from above! ( John 3:1-8).

Our Lord did not live an easy life for He entered a world set on sin and wickedness, and to those who follow His way today will have the same fight of afflictions just as He did. It is vital to love the word of God more than what this world offers and not take offense to it, for it is our life. (Psalm 119:165-167) Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Lord, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments. My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

I was told by someone that claims their faith in the Lord that I talk about Him too much… 💔

    That’s what we want to do-I’m not going to stop ❤️ 😁 🙏🏻 ☝️ 👑

But there are times when I don’t feel God’s Holy Spirit is giving me anything to say- to me there are times when silence speaks VOLUMES! 🙌

God bless you, Sis!! Great “food” for this evening!’

    • You said well “THEY CLAIM their faith in the Lord…….. But they are probably serving a denomination as many claim christianity since they warm a pew an hour a week. Scripture says give us this day our DAILY bread, not weekly. It seems like an off day to people if we talk about the Lord other than on sunday.
I hear you sometimes silence says more.
      Be Blessed Sister Always.
