Our Lord Feared God, Not Circumstances

Our Lord has said He would never leave us nor forsake us. Jesus did not have a fearful spirit within Him, and we learn this in the lesson of when He stilled the great tempest in the sea! While the disciples were overtaken by fear believing they were about to perish, we find in the midst there is Jesus sound to sleep. ( Matthew 8:23-27 ) And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to [him], and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Jesus knew those who have complete trust in God will be kept in perfect peace by keeping our minds focused on Gods promises. ( Isaiah 26:3,7,8,12,13 ) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.

When we have fear misplaced it can be detrimental to our health, but when we fear God and not circumstances it is then we can move the mountains in our life!  (Matthew 21:18-22 ).

The spirit of the world will keep one in bondage to the circumstances that surround them, but there is liberty in the spirit God has given to His people. ( 2 Timothy 1:7-9) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

  1. HEBREWS 12 is the preparation and the unfolding prophetic now upon us. The Laodicean spirit is now beginning to be delt with in the Body of Christ in America.

A Prophetic Dream Warning: A Rebirth of America (youtube.com)

    HEBREWS 12 is now active…

And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?

“My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
nor be weary when reproved by Him.
For the Lord disciplines the one He loves,
and chastises every son whom He receives.”

26 At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” 27 This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire.

    • We truly are living in the time when evil is becoming more prominent than ever, and it is up to those who are in the body of Christ to take a stand. I watched the video of “A rebirth of America” and can’t help but say scripturally there is not a rebirth coming, but the beginning birth pains of the tribulation. America and the whole world will not be seeing a rebirth, but the destruction brought by the hand of God.
This man speaks of seeing a major division of America, but scripture teaches us the whole world will be divided. While watching this Jeremiah 23:16 came to mind and I believe he is prophesying out of his own heart and not by the moving of the Holy Spirit.
      Many Blessings in your walk.

  2. Thank you for your discernment, wisdom, and the reminder of what Paul says in his first epistle to the Thessalonians (1 Thessalonians 5:19-22) …

19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21 but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.

Blessings be upon you as well.
