Our Lord came to this earth to do the will of His Father, many understand and believe this. Yet when the TRADITION’S of the holiday season comes around those who follow the Lord stand out more than ever because they do not follow the worlds way’s. We have been given the prime example of what a follower of Christ is when our Lord prayed to His Father for those who are no longer following the way of the world as they once did. He goes on to say His followers will even be hated for following His truth! (John 17:13-20) And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.

As christians we go by the written word of God, so how is it so many celebrate an event called Christmas that even God has chose to leave out of His word? 

This year why not make it the year you give the gift of the truth to your children and loved ones. It is a gift that will last for all eternity.
