Baptism: Empty Ritual or Symbol of “Death of Self”?

“Why were you baptized?”  a survey taker asks, cornering us with his microphone and camera.  Most of us would have to say, “Because they told me I should do it.”

  1. Baptism is a powerful symbol of our spiritual transformation, identifying with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. It’s a public declaration of our faith, symbolizing the freedom from sin and the new life we have in Him.

  2. In truth, that answer lies between God and I, but- My baptism is from my innate seeded faith in God, not because some man spoketh or because an insecure father evaded the true reflection of himself and God as he manipulated words written in red to narcissistically mask himself as Godly. Not all will be called.

    • We can never go wrong when we are guided by the Holy Spirit of truth. There are so many beliefs that are man made and are misconstrued that only at the separating of the sheep and goat’s will the truth be revealed just who truly followed the truth and who followed a lie.
