He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. (Deuteronomy 32:4).
Those who serve God know very well that it is not by their own power, but by the power of God do they stand and have their defense against their enemies. He is our salvation! (Psalm 62:1-8) Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
In the song of David we find great strength is only found in God, and He alone is the unmovable rock on which we stand.(2 Samuel 22:31-37) As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places. He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
Jesus (Yahshua) taught very well how if we hear His words that we shall be as a house built upon a sure foundation, for He is the rock that stands for all eternity (Luke 6:47-49) Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Yes. Sometimes He “makes us lie down in green pastures.” Makes us. He closes doors, wide doors, so that we may find the narrow gate. He has a plan and purpose, and He desires [wills] us to go through things that we would not have chosen. There is a time of receiving; there is a time to shed or give back things, habits, and our own personal desires. kwh
Your comment was a much needed read for me today. Beautifully said!
May Yah continue to strengthen you in His will.

His will must always take preeminance over ours. “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven”.
