As many are busy putting up their Christmas trees, decorations etc, and are out buying the perfect gift God is looking down from heaven wondering if there are any who do seek Him (Psalm 53:2) God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
Christmas has no scriptural basis and the celebration of this holiday does not come from church based doctrine, but has evolved from pagan traditions that actually predates the birth of Christ.
Has anyone stopped to even question why they are cutting down a pine tree to put in their house to decorate, or how does this bring honor to God? Does scripture teach such a thing? Fortunately it teaches us for to do such a thing is what the heathen do, and as Christians we are warned to not learn their ways if we are truly following Him in sincerity. (Jeremiah 10:2-8) Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
As christians we are instructed to not follow traditions of men, which make void the word of God. Our Lord Jesus(Yahshua) did not mince words when He called the Pharisees and scribes hypocrites who were rejecting Gods commandments so they could follow their traditions, and sadly still today His commandments are put on the back burner so traditions can be followed (Mark 7:5-9).
How many at this time of year say it’s time to get into the holiday spirit, or Christmas spirit? Not knowing God has never given a temporary spirit that only comes around once a year. This spirit they speak of shows up at their thanksgiving festivities and is in full force until the new year and suddenly is gone until the next holiday season. No matter where you go at this time of year the world is full of people saying to give to this or that charity, but what does scripture say about doing your alms before men? Is our giving of alms to the poor and those in need to be done out in the open for all to see? ( Matthew 6:1-4) Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. (Colossians 2:6-10).

How about the slogan: “Jesus is the reason for the season”? Or “Put Christ back in Christmas”? 🙁💔
Yeah I have heard both, and when I hear “Put Christ back in Christmas” I say how can you put Him back where He has never been? 🙂
Blessings Dear Sister

Thank you! I appreciate you sharing this post Dear Sister.

Thanks, Beth, for sharing this post and thanks, Julia, for putting it together. We know that God does not need the “Christmas spirit” for evangelizing. So many say they came to Christ through this unholy day, but it wasn’t the day if it was a true born-again event.
Have a blessed day, Julia, amen! 🤗
Thank you Sherry for this wonderful comment. I agree no way does a Christmas spirit save anyone nor bring them to Christ.
Revelation 18:1-4 tells of the coming great fall of Babylon, and we are instructed to not partake of her sins so we do not receive plagues. The Babylon of Jeremiah chapter 50 mirrors the sins of today. God overthrew them then and will overthrow it again for they are just as crazy upon their idol’s as the were back then.
A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols. (Jeremiah 50:38).
May you be so Blessed for boldly teaching the truth of Gods word.
Julia
thank you, Julia. You, Beth and Cathy are also bold for the truth concerning this blasphemous unholy day.
Yes Amen to that. We see it for what it is by the spirit of truth. 🙂
Many churches are very much hoping that Christmas will bring many genuine seekers into church services, hopefully from seeking the Lord to finding him … with blessings to you, may you find what you seek in the love and fellowship of Jesus
Sadly the truth is a Christmas service will not bring anyone to Christ. As we are instructed to worship God in Spirit and truth (John 4:23,24) Christmas remains a tradition of men and Christ himself warned the Pharisees and scribes of His day they were not to hold to their traditions more than the commandment of God. (Mark 7:7-9).
