When people are deceived the ability to accept the truth is taken away from them. The spirit of deception has always been in the earth, with the first lesson given us in the garden of Eden where we find the serpent. This ability to deceive has made many who are presented with the truth of the word to not believe it. It doesn’t help there are false teachers preaching false doctrines right up to the last days. At present satan the serpent is the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:3-6) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

                              THE THOUSAND YEAR MILLENNIUM

I was recently asked the question what is the purpose of this life if people are presented with the truth and they do not accept it, only to accept it in a thousand year millennium? There is a time coming when satan will be bound and cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years and those who are in Christ shall teach the truth without the hindrance of him deceiving them. This is a time all in Christ look forward to for it is the first resurrection, a time they will actually reign with Christ! A joyous time for those who previously had lost loved ones who were deceived by satan and now with him bound will surely have the ability to accept the truth unhindered (Revelation: 20:1-6) And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

After the thousand year millennium satan is then loosed from the pit to deceive the nations once again. There are false teacher’s out there teaching the battle of Gog and Magog is before the tribulation and this is false. We clearly see in the following passages that it is after the tribulation does the battle begin (Revelation 20:7-10) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

                                    The Great White Throne Judgment

After all this comes to pass the Great White Throne Judgment will occur where the book’s will be opened and every soul that ever lived will be judged according to their work’s. After this time we find death and hell are then cast into the lake of fire, and this is the second death (Revelation 20:11-15) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Then the hope of all people who ever lived will soon arrive, the Holy City which is The New Jerusalem will descend from God to the earth. A place where all who were written in the lamb’s book of life will enjoy eternity with Christ in His kingdom where only righteousness will reign! This wonderful time can be read of in Revelation Chapter 21 and 22.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Revelation 3:5,6).
