“What difference does it make?
This is often asked by those who cling to the old assumption that the church is the bride of Christ. My thesis is simple: it makes a great difference to God, because God is truth, and to speak falsely about His Son, His plan, or His prophetic order is to dishonor Him. Christ declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). The Spirit is called “the Spirit of truth” (John 16:13). His Word is “truth” (John 17:17). Therefore, believing in false teachings is not a harmless mistake; it is a contradiction of His very essence.
