Many people are worried about having enough money just to live paycheck to paycheck. Paying rent and buying food on credit cards is becoming more commonplace. The government spends more that it collects and that is the cause of inflation, which eats at the purchasing power of the fiat dollar. Our currency is a fiat currency and has no real value, a system doomed to catastrophic collapse if the government can’t balance a budget. The utterly broken government will never cut deficient spending and budget within its means. The dollar, which is backed by nothing is headed for the grave and congress is digging the hole with continued resolutions known as “kicking the can”. Food insecurity will become a problem for most when the dollar collapses and no longer is the world’s reserve currency.
