People are taken captive many times at the evil unseen acts of others.When we choose to follow that which is good and not evil we become a prey.

“And Judgement is turned away backward,and justice standeth afar off:for truth is fallen in the street, and equity canot enter.Yea,truth faileth;and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it,and it displeased him that there was no Judgement”.(Isaiah 59:14,15).

There is nothing more disheartening than a father to have his children be a prey and led astray at the hands of others.Just as Our Father in Heaven does’nt like to see the shepherds of the people being led astray and serving themselves of the flock leaving them empty of the truth of the word.

“My sheep wandered through all mountains,and upon every high hill:Yea,my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth,and none did search or seek after them.Therefore,Ye shepherds,hear the word of the Lord;

As I live,saith the Lord God,surely because my flock became a prey,and my flock became meat to every beast of the field,because there was no shepherd,neither did my shepherds search for my flock,but the shepherds fed themselves,and fed not my flock;Therefore, O ye shepherds,hear the word of the Lord Thus saith the Lord God;Behold, I am against the shepherds;and I will require my flock at their hand,and cause them to cease from feeding the flock;neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth,that they may not be meat for them.

For thus saith the Lord God;Behold, I,even I,will both search my sheep,and seek them out”.(Ezekiel 34:6-11).

With so much sin in the world people do not even realize a whore(prostitute) is a deep ditch that the souls are taken as a prey to. “For a whore is a deep ditch;and a strange woman is a narrow pit”.(Proverbs 23:27,28)

Even all of Proverbs 7 is written about such a trap to the souls of the predator,and the last verse 7:27 then clearly tells where such a way of life leads. “Her house is the way to hell,going down to the chambers of death”.

The best and most wonderful news we can read of this matter is that the word prey IS NOT written in the entire new testament.The reason being we have Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who came to seek and to save that which was lost.If you have breath then you have hope! Now that’s Good News!
