God’s ways are just and right and to those who claim to do his will our neighbor is to be respected and not to go against without cause if they dwell securely by us. “Devise not evil against thy neighbor,seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.Strive not with a man without cause,if he have done thee no harm”.(Proverbs 3:29,30).

The neighbor was best described by Jesus when he answered a lawyer who was trying to tempt him and asked what he should do to inherit eternal life?  “And he answering said,Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,and with all thy soul,and with all thy strength,and with all thy mind;and thy neighbor as thyself”.He then is asked who is my neighbor? And Jesus goes on to tell him of a certain man who fell among thieves and was left for dead……but then a Priest,a Levite had walked past the man in trouble,and it was a samaritan that stopped and helped in every way possible of which Jesus said this portray’s as the one who acted as a neighbor to his brethren.(Luke 10:27-37).

God holds Loving your neighbor so highly it is hated by him when we do otherwise!  “These are the things that ye shall do; speak ye every man the truth to his neighbor;execute the Judgement of truth and peace in your gates:And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord”.(Zechariah 8:16,17).

We are told to do unto others as we would have them do unto us.The way we treat others is a true reflection of who we are…………If we treat others wrong you can be sure God is not pleased. “Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.And that, knowing the time,and now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”.(Romans 13:10,11).

For those who still believe in keeping of the ten commandments that are still in place. “Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”.(Matthew 19:19).

There will always be neighbors who are not the easiest to get along with and God is well aware of this. “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.But if ye bite and devour one another,take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh”.(Galatians 5:14-16).
