It is not long after a Believer has found the knowledge of God and is willing to sell all to get more of this great True Treasure,only to realize the world does’nt care to know of this life saving message and so the mocking begins.

There is no one more aware of the ridicule of others than the Lord Jesus Christ who walked the earth telling of his Father’s way! A way to this day the world rejects.How crazy is it to try and tell people that a man’s body has become a cornerstone and is a church and those who follow him their bodies too are the temple of God,also he would die and be raised from the dead……WHAT! Yet it’s the message we take to the nations.

“Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:but unto them which be disobedient,the stone which the builders disallowed,the same is made the head of the corner,And a stone of stumbling,and a rock of offence,even to them which stumble at the word,being disobedient:whereunto also they were appointed”.

(1 Peter 2:7,8).

Jesus was thought to have a devil and was mad,even though through the power of his Father performed miracles by him!

“There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.And many of them said,He hath a devil,and is mad; why hear ye him? Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?”.(John 10:19-21).

I love the way Paul handled himself before Festus when he was thought to be beside himself. Paul said:“For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:That Christ should suffer,and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead,and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.And as he thus spake for himself,Festus said with a loud voice,Paul, thou art beside thyself;much learning doth make thee mad.But he said, I am not mad,most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness”.(Acts 26:21-25).

When we are trying to witness to others and they do not seem to understand our message this explains it best…………“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;but unto us which are saved it is the power of God”.(1 Corinthians 1:18). “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,even the hidden wisdom,which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it,they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”.

(1 Corinthians 2:7,8).

There is an understanding to those who Love God and seek out his wisdom,we speak of a world to come while the children of the world can only know and understand what they see.Without eyes of Faith for one to see into the eternal the message of the cross will stay hidden to many.We are told not to lose hope for our brethren are going through the same trial in this world.

I’m certain for this very reason of being misunderstood our comfort is found in“For God hath not given us the Spirit of fear;but of power,and of love,and of a sound mind.Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord,nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;Who hath saved us,and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace,which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began”.(2 Timothy 7-9).
