“Casting Spells and Witchcraft”

WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT THIS?

God Loves when we choose to do his will and not our own,but if we do not know how he feels about casting spells,witchcraft,divination,mediums (consulting with familiar spirits),enchanters,charmers,wizards, or necromancers (sorcery)and that it is an Abomination to him,we may dabble in something that may cause us great harm if we stay in it.

(Deuteronomy 18:10-15).

Then we choose a life away from him and serve what he says are devils,enemies of all unrighteousness and perverting of the right ways of the Lord! These are God’s own words! “But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation)withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost,set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtility and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all unrighteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?” (Acts 13:8-10).

This post is for those who truly want to know the will of God for their lives and have a closer walk with him.Many want to have one foot on the narrow path and the other on the wide.When we draw near to God he says he will draw near to us,as long as we cleanse our hands from sin and not continue to be double-minded as what trying to stay on two path’s is. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.Draw nigh to God,and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands you sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded”.(James 4:7,8).

There is a wonderful example given in the story of the Witch of Endor if one thinks it’s alright to not do God’s will and seek what he says is an Abomination to him.Saul was anointed by Samuel to be king over Israel,he was told to smite the Amalek’s and slay all people and animals,but Saul decided to do what he wanted and then lied to Samuel that he had done what he was told.

Samuel called him out on it though when he said why does he still hear the bleating of sheep and lowing of oxen? of which Saul proceeded to lie again and said: The people gave the best of their sheep and oxen as a sacrifice for the Lord.

(1 Samuel 15:3,14,15).

Saul is then reprimanded by the Lord for not obeying his words. “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king”.(1 Samuel 15:23)

We find later Samuel dies and Saul is no longer hearing from God “And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by urim (knowledge given to priests by God), nor by prophets.Then said Saul unto his servants, seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her.And his servants said to him,Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor”.(1 Samuel 28:6,7) Saul had previously put out of the land all those who had familiar spirits and the wizards when he was serving God so now has to disguise himself to get help from the witch of Endor and later learns after the witch contacts Samuel for him is told why God is no longer answering,because he chose to do his own way when trusted to smite the Amalek’s. “Because thos obeyedst not the voice of the Lord,nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the Lord done this thing unto thee this day”.(1 Samuel 28:18).

God is not fooled by anyone! He knows the thoughts and intents of the heart of each and every soul he made. “And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God”.(Romans 8:27).

We need to know that in God’s eyes a whore is the same as one who does witchcraft…..Men and woman are taken captive without knowing this:

God’s letter to his children (The Bible)is to protect them from all evil that is trying to steer them from his plan for their lives! To anyone who speaks opposite of this truth have no light in them.

“And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter:should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law and to the testamony: if they speak not according to this word,it is because there is no light in them”.(Isaiah 8:19,20).
