Who wouldn’t like PEACE in a world of chaos? Praise God we have a Saviour who has already overcome this world! “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”.
(John 16:33).
Sure we will have days it seems all PEACE has left us,but it is at those times if we be quiet and look to God’s word we find renewed strength and PEACE for our souls.Even Jesus at times left the multitudes to seek his Fathers will. “But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed”.(Luke 5:15,16).
Sometimes people lose sight that we are able to find PEACE in the midst of the storm’s of life, just as the raging storm the disciples found themselves in and it was in their fear that Jesus appeared to calm the storm and them.It is written that we are to seek PEACE and pursue it. “Depart from evil, and do good; seek PEACE, and pursue it.The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth”.(Psalms 34:14-16).

We find that part of the whole armour of God that his people are to be covered with is the gospel of PEACE…… “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of PEACE; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God”.(Ephesians 6:13-17).
The fruits of the spirit brings great comfort to the Believer and PEACE is one of the fruits. “But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, joy, PEACE, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts”.(Galatians 5:22-24).
There will always be those who have a hard time with taking the word of God at face value, whether it is believed or not the word of God stands sure and it is for all eternity and the only TRUE PEACE for the soul offered while we live our lives out in the earth!
“Great PEACE have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them”.(Psalm 119:165).
