We have heard people say of someone they really love the Lord and have a heart for God! This statement is not far from the truth of the word. When a person lives for Christ their life shows it and it is easy for other’s to see his way being lived through them. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee”.(Psalm 51:10-13).
The word even tells us God will take out the stony heart of flesh (rebellious), and will give us a new heart and spirit that knows him to follow his ways. We will be sanctified right before the eyes of those who are round about us. “And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgements, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God”.(Ezekiel 36:23-28).
Dear people, God who is ever merciful and faithful to his people when we put complete and total trust in him shows us it is this kind of faith that activates the moving of God in ones life. With a strong faith in the Lord we are kept protected and our souls are shown Gods Love that is without reservation when our hearts and minds are set on him!
God is the best heart man anyone could ever want, for he can truly heal a broken heart and is always near the afflicted. Jesus was sent to bring us this very message of hope and says it very well as we read his report: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord”.(Luke 4:18,19). “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivereth him out of them all”.(Psalm 34:18,19).
The Spirit of God is a comfort and helps us to make the right decisions that are pleasing to him, and at times when we are not sure just how to pray it is the Spirit that makes intercession for us. We can know that in quiet times as we listen to the small still voice which is God’s presence within us, his guidance will never take us off the path of his grace! “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.(Romans 8:26-28).
