Gods Kingdom

first

KINGDOM: The dominion of a king,An organized community or unit having a form of government headed by a king or queen,The eternal kingship of God,The realm of which Gods will is fulfilled.
The very first kingdom we read of in scripture is that of Nimrod who’s kingdom was Babel. “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Er’-ech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shi’-nar”.
(Genesis 10:8-10). Many know that that kingdom fell for the people wanted to build a tower that would reach heaven, but was soon ended by God himself. “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech”.(Genesis 11:6,7).
Daniel had a vision of the kingdom that one day Jesus would reign in, and that it would be an everlasting kingdom that would have no end! “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed”.(Daniel 7:13,14).
It would be the saints of God in the latter (ancient) days who would possess this kingdom where their Lord and Saviour would rule once and for all in perfect peace in service to the one who would redeem them by the sacrifice he would make. “But the saints of the most high shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. Until the ancient of days came, and judgement was given to the saints of the most high; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most high, whose kingdom is an everlasting, and all dominions shall serve and obey him”.(Daniel 7:18,22,27).
When people hear the words of scripture by us they are hearing the words of Gods kingdom. We see very well in todays world who accepts the word and who rejects it. If people do not want to hear the word of God then chances are they are rejecting the kingdom of God for his words are eternal and will never leave us who carry them in our hearts and minds. “When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the decietfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty”.(Matthew 13:19-23).
The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all. Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul”.(Psalm 103:19-22).
