In the teaching of blessings and curses found in the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy God tells us of all the wonderful blessings we would receive if we abide by his commandment’s and the curses that would come about if we choose otherwise! If we follow him we will be as the head (above) thing’s or we would be as the tail (beneath) if his way’s are not applied to our life. “And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them”.(Deuteronomy 28:13,14).
Some still feel that this does not apply to our lives today and say there are no curses in the earth which is not true, for we find in Revelation there truly is curse til Christ returns to the earth and only then will they be removed. “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and for ever”.(Revelation 22:3-5).
When God’s judgement comes to pass we see that the government of Christ’s peaceable kingdom brings complete order to everything, but those who seek not the Lord will be cut off as the leader’s who have taught lies is destroyed and they are known as the tail while the honorable (trusted) will be as the head in Christ’s kingdom. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called wonderful, counsellor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts. Therefore the Lord will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. The ancient and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail”.(Isaiah 9:6,7,13-15).
