A SNARE TO THE SOUL OF MAN
To anyone who believes this theory I pray that as easily you accepted this teaching as the truth of God that you would consider this article and not be taken in by a very clever teaching of the enemy of our soul who has come to kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10).
We as christian’s know that we suffer for Christ’s sake and are patient through many trial’s and tribulation’s, and it is the righteous judgement of God which says we are not taken away from any troubles, but we endure so we are found worthy to enter the kingdom of God. “So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgement of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you”.(2 Thessalonians 1:4-6).
The whole rapture theory is based mostly on the passage we find in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. As we are told to meditate on the word of God when we read these passages that this theory is mainly taken from it is easy to see why people feel they would be taken up to be with Christ and escape all the tribulation that will fall upon the earth, but when put into the right context and taken back to the greek we then understand the word air is (breath or spirit) and we need to notice how the word remain appears twice within these verses.
REMAIN: To stay in the same place, To not leave.
AIR: Breath of Life, Holy Spirit.
When we combine the verses from 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51,52 it is a confirmation that at the last trump of God will all be changed into spiritual bodies that will reside with the lord as we REMAIN here. It clearly states AT THE LAST TRUMP and there are no other trumps after the last trump that Christ will be returning as this is the second and final advent of his return for this is the day of the Lord!
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed”.
(1 Corinthians 15:51,52). “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and REMAIN unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and REMAIN shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words”.(1 Thessalonians 4:15-18).
Jesus showed us a great example of returning to a place they wanted to kill him just to help his friend Lazarus and this strength he shows here is a reminder to all of us to stay strong no matter what is set before us, Jesus didn’t fold in the hard times so why as we serve him would we? We are the light in this world of darkness. “When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judea again. His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in a day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. (John 11:6-10).
We must ask ourselves why would God remove the light he shines through us at what is a most desperate time when people need to learn of the hope found in him as we are told to not put our lights under a bushel, but shine for all to see! We are not offered the whole armour of God so we can step out of what he has equipped us for the battle to do. (Ephesians 6:10-18).

I’ve found that dispensationalism and their “pre” trib rapture has been so ingrained into religiosity in general, that it’s almost impossible to teach some people how that such teaching isn’t scriptural.

We all who are in Christ have come out of some form of religion. We are carried as a baby into the building and are taught it from a young age……BUT Praise God for those who actually open their bibles and search for Him and not rely only on the pastor or priests words.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. Another really good post Julia. This and the previous one on the same topic have given me a lot to think about. I am also glad you gave me links for these as this is not a subject I would ever have questioned. After reading these, the Rapture thing is starting to sound wrong…. because points you have raised in these are very logical.

How refreshinh to read your comment, as you see the rapture theory has many holes. How anyone can believe we are taken out of the world before Christs return takes away the scripture Revelation 3:10 tells us we will be kept from the hour of temptation that will come upon “THE WHOLE EARTH” and if people are flying away in a rapture they would not be at this hour.
Sometimes I wonder how people can believe so many odd teachings, and then 2 Thessalonians 2:11 reminds me how God sends strong delusion to those who want to believe a lie.
Yeah, well it is all well and good being part of the flock but…… it also means many of us have herd instinct lol.
Feeling like a bit of a numpty at the moment as I am rapidly starting to see why the Rapture theory is, as you put it, full of holes. The more you say, the more obvious that is becoming.

Yes, it does says about delusions and false teachings. And I had thought it only applied to things like people predicting the return of Jesus (at least two of these in the last six months) and crap like ‘Satan’s Little Season’.
The problem is, the most effective delusions are the most subtle ones. Satan comes as an angel of light.

As long as bibles stay closed and people don’t search for themselves the truth remains hidden. There are many on the wide road to destruction and few find the narrow path that leads to life.

What do you think about the alien/Nephilim thing? There is a lot of evidence to support their existence (both I mean). But are aliens in fact demons?
I do not believe in aliens . I do believe people are being deceived by satan to think God would make beings from another planet given scripture only teaches of the heaven and earth He has created. ALIENS are a great deception of satan that many buy into. The Nephilim on the other hand is biblical.
Not sure if you have heard of LA Marzulli, but he seems to be the only logical one to explain it.
LA was also a very good friend of Chuck Missler. In fact, Marzulli cites him as a mentor.
