There is a God shaped hole in everyone which only God can fill. Many have said this statement and it really does hold true. God created man upon the earth and in the beginning with great grief of heart he destroyed everything as man chose wickedness over God. Genesis 6:5-7. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Since the heart of man is evil from his youth God then chose to never destroy everything again. (Genesis 8:21,22). And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Man has free will to either love and serve God or serve his own way which will cause his soul to remain empty and void of eternal life. A soul without God remains lean and without blessing, and we see this lesson when God performed many miracles after guiding the Israelites from Egypt, in fact they did not even want his council! (Psalm 106:9-15). He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness. And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left. Then believed they his words; they sang his praise. They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
Oh sure we can branch out on our own, but without God in the equation things will not work out as well as when we make him the center of our life. (John 15:1-5). I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Mount Zion will be the peaceful place Gods people will reside and whosoever will fight against it shall be as an empty soul. (Isaiah 29:7,8). (HEBREW-Ariel is Jerusalem)……….. And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision. It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
