” Our Deliverer “

For those who love righteousness and the Lord know he will deliver them from the hand of the wicked. (Psalm 97:10-12).  Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Praise God for sending us Christ who is able to deliver us from this present evil world in which we live. We are never alone nor overpowered when Christ is at the center of our life! (Galatians 1:3-5). Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

How can we not trust in God who is our shield and deliverer. It is he who teaches our hands to war for his righteous cause. (Psalm 144:1,2). Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

How much grief Joseph must have felt when his own brothers sold him into bondage (Egypt) (Genesis 45:1-5), yet he forgave them and explained that they should not be sad for what they did as Gods hand was on him and it was through their actions he had sent him to Egypt and has now delivered them as well! (Genesis 45:4-8).  And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

Jesus died to deliver whosoever comes to him and believes upon his name. (2 Corinthians 1:9,10) But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;….(John 3:16).
