* Five Months*

God’s promises never fail and he is faithful to his word. We are told the days will be shortened for the elects sake. But what is the significance of Jesus telling how it would be as the days of Noah at his return? (Matthew 24:22,37-39).  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.  But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

When we study in the book of Genesis we see the comparison of Jesus words as a prophecy that would come to pass, as we see the flood was upon the earth for a hundred and fifty days. (* Five Months *). (Genesis 7:24). And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

Jesus gives us a huge answer in the teaching when the seventy return and are so joyous as they tell Jesus that through his name even the devils are subject to them. (Luke 10:17-20). And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

This great lesson gives a Christian the answer they need during what will be very turbulent times which lie ahead called the tribulation, when the locust army comes in like a flood! And once again we see it is for * Five Months *. As Jesus said we have power to tread on serpents and scorpions. (Revelation 9:1-6). And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

There are no coincidences with God and his plan will unfold just as written in his Holy Word ….. Remember we through the power of Christ can do all God has called us to do!
