” One And The Same “

Jesus never hesitated to tell how He was sent of His Father to do His will, and even to the point of saying He and His Father are one which was a statement the Jews sought to stone Him for speaking! Claiming He was speaking blasphemy. (John 10:27-33).  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.  I and my Father are one.  Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?  The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Jesus is known as the Word, He was the Word that was made flesh and walked among us. (John 1: 1,2,12-14).  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

God has always been for us, as His plan for salvation of man was even before the earth was formed! Yes our Lord and Saviour was with God the Father long before He entered the world to bring the good news of the gospel. This revelation of such love is spoken by Christ when His hour had come just before His trial and crucifixion. “I have glorified thee on earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was”. “For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me”. (John 17:4,5,8).
