Stay Close To Almighty God

It is very disheartening as a christian to have someone say God told me this or that as they continue to tell of worldly event’s. Scripture teaches us when we are born again old things are passed away and behold all things become new. We are in obedience in following that which is pleasing to God, and it doesn’t take long to notice the difference not only in you, but how others think it is strange you no longer run with them as you once did (1 Peter 4: 1-5).

The truth of God is written on the heart and minds of the believer, and are taught to be friends with the world and its ways are to be an enemy with God. We can be certain if we walk with the Lord then we are no longer in agreement with traditions and ways we once deemed important. We then learn the light that shines within us pierces through the darkness of the ways some may walk!

Johnathan Cahn has written a good report of the importance of staying close with God and to guard ourselves of false gods that may mimic God Almighty.

The Merging Of Baal

Baal was a Canaanite god that competed with the Lord Yehovah. Archeologists have found ancient pottery in Israel that reveals that the ancient Israelites joined together Jehovah with Baal as the same god. They merged the two into one. So one of the greatest dangers for God’s people isn’t the overt worship of other gods, but the joining of Jehovah to Baal; the joining of the Lord to other gods. Many ministers start out serving God but end up serving success. Many ministries start out serving the Great Commission but end up serving the god of money. Others confuse God with prosperity, power, status, blessing, and success. You can’t serve God and other things, other gods. Purify your walk. Purify your goal. Purify your motives and your heart. Breakaway from serving a mixed god and come back to the God of your salvation. Because your walk is too precious to be wasting it by serving Baal in disguise.
