The true church of Christ is more than what people think when they view church as a building to visit to worship. Jesus taught us that God is a spirit and they who worship Him do so by His spirit and truth. ( John 4:23-24 ).
It was the shedding of our Saviours bloodwhich purchased His spirit filled church! ( Acts 20:28 ).
To this day there is a veil over the hearts of people who follow the old way of teachings that Jesus nailed to the cross and was risen in newness of life as we are when born again of the spirit. ( 2 Corinthians 3:14-18 ). 14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
It is only through the holy spirit are we able to understand the truth of the scriptures, for the worldly fleshly mind cannot receive this truth. The true church of Christ loves the Lord and keeps His commandments. ( John 14:14-21 ). 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
