Jesus said He and His Father are one. Philip asked Jesus to show the disciples His Father, it was then Jesus said “He that has seen Him has seen the Father” ! ( John 14:8-13 ), ( John 10:30 ).
How ingenious God is to have created the earth and to then send His son to the earth from heaven to instruct man of His plan for salvation! The following passage teaches us that Jesus was with God in heaven before coming to earth. ( John 17:1-8 ) 1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received [them], and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
It did not end when our Lord died, in fact it was only the beginning for many generations to come, as the Holy Spirit was given to all believers by genuine repentance. God keeps His promises and Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit when He returned unto the Father! ( John 15:26-26 ) ( John 16:7-16 ).
The plan of God has come full circle, as in the beginning before the earth was our Lord Jesus Christ who began in heaven has returned there once again. As believers we await His last and final return when the earth will be filled with Gods glory, when all sorrows, pain and tears are passed away for all eternity! ( Revelation 21:3-7 ) 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
