What joy and elation it must have been for Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to go to the sepulchre where just three days earlier they had laid their Lord, then to see an angel appear right after an earthquake with the words no one had ever heard until that day “He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay” (Matthew (28:6).

We would like to think after such a miraculous event surely when the two Mary’s were instructed to go and tell the disciples their Lord had risen just like He had said they would be just as happy, sadly there were in Jesus’ day as it is in ours nay sayers and devious people who at this time namely the chief priest’s and elder’s took council against this miracle and paid a large amount of money to soldier’s to say the disciples came and stole the Lord from the sepulchre (Matthew 28:10-17) Yet the message of Jesus was so beautiful even after this fiasco with the soldier’s that we find the peace of what He has done for us all! (Matthew 28:18-20) 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Praise God Daniel was given a vision of this event and of all our Lord would stand for in the latter day long before it happened! (Daniel 7:13,14) 13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

He has risen and has tasted death for every man, as christians we await the return of our Lord who will usher in the new Jerusalem where He will wipe away all tears and there will be only peace and righteousness in the land! (Revelation 1:7,8). 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
