God has given the ultimate sacrifice in His Son the Lord Jesus Christ which has abolished the old testament ways of serving God, and in His death has put into place the “New Covenant” and how we now serve God through His spirit. (Hebrews 10:15-21) 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God.
We are the house of God in which His spirit dwells. We are seperated and set apart to serve Him in spirit and truth (2 Corinthians 6:16-18) 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
This new ministry of which Jesus is the high priest is called the “Ministry of Reconciliation” when we are truly born again we become a new creature in Christ and are reconciled unto God, and are made the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:17-21) 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
We have learned we are the temple of the living God, and although there was a time God was served in an earthly tabernacle, we now know Christ is the true sanctuary and those who worship Him worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23,24) 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Christ is the perfect tabernacle who by the sacrifice of Himself, and the shedding of His blood has purchased the true church! (Acts 20:28) 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (Hebrews 9:8-17).
God has never been a denomination or religion nor will He ever be since the word means division and there is no division in the body of Christ. (1 Peter 2:4-10)
FAITH has always been what God expects of His people. It is the unseen yet knowing God is always there as He has been from the very beginning of time! “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, YE ARE GOD’S BUILDING” (1 Corinthians 3:9).
“FAITH has always been what God expects of His people.” Yes! All by faith, everything by faith. We are a blessed people Julia. 🙌
Amen Dear Sister …..FAITH is what is expected, and not blind faith as many like sheep will run after. Thank you for your comment. God Bless You.

I usually say to people who are pushing their denomination or false cult, aka JW’s, mormons etc., “now do you think when God placed Adam & Eve in the garden that he had also had your denomination in mind?
You have said that correctly “PUSH” their denomination. I love your reply!!!!!! If you don’t mind I may have to use that when confronted as to why I don’t go to church yet I say I’m a christian. We do have to go back that far as the garden of eden where God and our faith in Him all started….. minus the building. God Bless You Always as you walk with Him.

Lol, go ahead and use it… I follow that question up by… “no, it’s a relationship he wanted… and still wants, get man and his rules, religion out of the way, and cultivate the relationship with Him!”
AMEN!!!!! Love what you said! Relationship is exactly what He wants with us. Thanks I will use your wise sage advice. Be Blessed in Him.

Hallelujah!!!
You have no idea how much I love this!!!
I gotta tell you I take no credit for these writings as the Holy Spirit guides and directs them and I AGREE with you as BOTH of these posts flew onto the paper and at times could not write fast enough, I learned and had to go back for the passages and reread. GOD IS SO GOOD to His people. I love this as well Beth. God Bless You Always.

I wholeheartedly agree that there should not be any division in the body of Christ. There is a Baptist preacher that we have listened to online from time to time and I’ve often heard him say some kind of “we Baptists” remark and it always left me feeling out of the loop because I wasn’t one of “them”. Now that may sound trivial but I think it was just a culmination of our experiences with “ecumenical” pastors and their rejection of our testimony. I don’t feel guilty about not having a “church” because the Lord knows, even though Christians may not understand. I was of that mindset many years ago so I know how they think. We were blessed for the first six years after being saved to belong to a “church”, but then it was time to leave. A “church” can become an idol like anything else. We can go up the “church” ladder in ministry and leave a trail of compromise behind us. In one church someone told us the pastors wife said that Billy and I could be of much use to them if we would “just flow with the Catholics”. 🤦♀️ We would not “flow”! Truly Jesus has to be our all in all and we are to bear His reproach outside the camp, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sunday’s used to be so hard for me for a long time after we left our first “church” but over time the Lord has given me His peace. 🙌
I understand the feeling of being left out, and it was this feeling that oftentimes made me ask God if He was in these places then why do I not fit in and can remember leaving that whole setting and the click among the people that if you don’t do what they say then your not a GOOD ENOUGH christian. Praise God He opened my eyes to the truth of where He really is with the heart of the true believer who serves Him in spirit and truth. Made me smile when you said you did not go with the flow! and how we bear His reproach ourside the camp…. Loved that!!!! Blessings over you as you walk in His will.
