Gods letter to us in the bible has given us the blueprint and path that leads us to him. In fact by his Holy Spirit his people are guided on the right path which leads our soul home to our heavenly Father! (John 14:26) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
God still today speaks audibly as he did with Moses so long ago, and we are told today if we hear his voice to not harden our hearts as the Israelites did in the wilderness who for forty years even after seeing great signs and wonders did not believe God was guiding them. (Psalm 95:7-11) For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. …..Hebrews 3:7-11.
God still speaks to his people in the most quiet of moments, but the worlds events keep drowning him out. His guidance will never waiver in letting us know the way we should go and the path we must follow (Isaiah 30:20,21). And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Just as Jesus told the disciples of his day that he was going to prepare a place for them, it is a place we as well will enter one day if we learn that the only way to the Father is through His Son! (John 14:3-6). And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
So true!
