We are to be patient and wait upon the Lord which sounds easy enough, but we want things our own way and His ways are not as our ways ( Isaiah 55:6-9) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

 We know faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. As christians we have the firstfruits of the spirit and wait patiently for our redemption! (Romans 8:22-25) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

 Many of us are in need of patience throughout our lives and with all the trials and tribulations we go through we know that on our own some things seem impossible, but we can take comfort in knowing that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us and patience is something our Lord can help us with! (Romans 15:5-7) Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

 All that Jesus endured took much patience on His part and as His followers we too have the ability to endure even when we do good and suffer for it, for He is the perfect example of what it is to have patience Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward ( 1 Peter 2:18-23) For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.
