Oh how easy it is to worry and fret over things or situations that seem so out of control. As christians we are to fight the good fight of faith and change the things we can for the good as God walks with us. When we are overly concerned over those who choose to do evil and ungodly acts we are saying God cannot handle the matter, but the truth is He is more than aware of it. Scripture teaches us to not fret about those things that are out of our power to change and to rest in the Lord, after all everything is under the watchful eyes of God and not one sparrow falls without Him knowing it (Psalm 37:1-11) Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
Sure there are things we should be concerned about in this life, worrying in the Lord is just not one of them. His grace is sufficient for those who put their trust in Him! (1 Peter 5:6-7) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,that He may exalt you in due time:Casting all your care upon Him;for He careth for you.
We will always throughout our lives run into those who believe they are God and can waive that which is just and right to favor their evil ways, but little do they know that those who trust in the Lord is greater than any evil they are plotting!(Psalm 35:1-9) Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them. Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them. For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.(Psalm 37:12,13)
The old saying so many say is true “Let go and let God” we must at times get out of our own way and let God be God, for He is faithful to His word!
