Guide Us O Lord

A life guided by the Lord is a sure path, for He will teach those who look to Him for all help. (Psalm 25:6-10). Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord. Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

God showed so much mercy to His redeemed people as He caused the waters of the red sea to part before them as He guided them in His strength to the other side! (Exodus 15:10-13). Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

The guidance of the Holy Spirit was sent to us by the promise our Lord gave that He would surely send Him. We know His truth by His presence which dwells within us. No longer do we wonder aimlessly without direction, for the spirit of God is our guide! (John 16:13-15) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

God alone knows the plotting of an enemy or whoever does not have our best interest at heart. If we trust completely in Him we will see our enemy taken out of the way as we are guided on the path that leads to Him. (Psalm 37:32-37). The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

  2. Amen. As we continue to surrender ourselves to His plan and purpose, He has promised us that the Spirit of truth will lead us into all truth. As we remain on the same page as Him, we can ask according to His will, and He will answer. Another comforting promise by our astounding Father. Thank you for all of the likes and comments. Blessings to all. kwh
