You matter to God even when we lose sight of Him. He is ever watchful of us throughout the day,and is acquainted with all our ways (Psalm 139:1-12) O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.  Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

 When we are overwhelmed or misunderstood there is true hope in knowing we are never alone and we have a Lord who has suffered far more than any one of us could ever imagine. He understands every trying time we encounter in this life! Many know the passage of John 3:16 how God so loved the world He gave His only begotten son,that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,but have everlasting life. It is the great love God has for us that He sent His son to be the propitiation for our sins…..Now that is love!(1 John 4:10). Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

 We matter so much to the one who created us, we are carved in the palm of His hand and are the apple of His eye. He also calls those who love and do His will His friend!(John 15:14-16). Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

 Moses moved with confidence to lead the Israelites out of the bondage of Egypt, for he believed God who went before him would not forsake him. Years later Joshua was given the same promise that God was also with him as well and would not forsake him. (Deuteronomy 31:6-8) Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

 The people of God today are not a forsaken people, but are guided by His spirit to do His will as they did so many generations ago!
