Obedience and Disobedience

Just as there is Good and Evil………Right and Wrong………..Light and Darkness…….

There’s Obedience and Disobedience,The choice is ours.

When a person claims to be a Christian this means they have made the choice to abide by the word of God and to follow His truth. We have an outline of what this means by the written word to His people which is the bible (Colossians 3:5,6) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence (Lust), and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.

Even Jesus cried unto his Father for the trial He was enduring and through His obedience became the author of eternal salvation for many (Hebrews 5:7-9) Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son,yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.

The more we read the word the more it is seen that if we choose to be obedient to God we will not be a part of the wrath He will pour out on those who choose to not serve Him!(Ephesians 5:4-6) Neither filthiness, not foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Life is not easy by any means, but to have the comfort of knowing if we stay obedient to Christ even while others around us could not care about what happens to their soul the reward of an eternity in peace and joy forever helps us to press on! Life was not easy for our Saviour, yet He chose to suffer the cross for us. We are told to do the same if we are His disciples (Matthew 16:24-26) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
