Drinking from the well of life

In the gospel of John we learn of Jesus who teaches a woman of samaria how the water she has in a deep well may refresh her,but the water He tells her of is if one drinks it they will never thirst again. This water is as a well of living water springing up unto eternal life!(John 4:11-15). The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.  The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

At the last supper Jesus taught the disciples the same message that if any man would thirst let him come to Him and drink. Jesus is the way,the truth and the life of all who come to Him,and His life giving spirit will flow as rivers of living water through the believer!(John 7:37-39).  In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

As believers we know that Christ is the bread of life, it is the word of God which is life giving as well as the holy spirit given causes the life giving word of God to flow through us! (Isaiah 55:1-3) Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. ( Revelation 22:1-4).

  1. They say when one is in bondage and put on bread and water it is curel and unusal punishment. But, when one surrenders to the Lord and becomes a bond servant to him, his bread and water is everlasting life! LOLGB+
