When Jesus asked the disciples who do the people say I am? it was Peter who answered Jesus correctly, and by doing so we learn an important lesson by what our Lord answered him He is the rock upon which He would build His church! “Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”(Matthew 16:17-19).

 Sanctification is part of being a christian which means we are to be set apart and consecrated unto God for His service, and as the world teaches we must be sanctified by man scripture teaches it is God who sanctifies us. Our Lord prayed to the Father that we be sanctified by His word of truth! (John 17:16-20) They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.

 Scripture teaches us we are to worship God in spirit and in truth! As the world sees through fleshly eyes, the true worshipers of Christ will continue to see through the eyes of faith!( John 4:23,24) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

 The world says God is to be worshiped in a building, but we have just learned the true church of Christ functions without walls. It is a living breathing body of believers, and is the true tabernacle God made it to be ( Hebrews 8:1,2 ) How of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle,which the Lord pitched, and not man.

 So many fear what others may think and want to be liked, and sadly will forfeit the true call they have on their life! After all what would people think if you no longer go to a church building and tell them your reason is because they are the church? If scripture teaches we are the temple of the living God, how then can we not believe it? ( 2 Corinthians 6:16-18) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

 When the world persecutes us for following the true church we are called to, we must realize there are other brethren in this life who understand this truth. Persecution is inevitable if we follow without reservation! (2 Timothy 3:12) Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

 The temple which is made without hands will also be in heaven, for the temple we now serve within Christ through the spirit will be for all eternity! And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Revelation 21:22-27).

The world will continue to ask do you go to church, but those who know the truth will say they are the church and temple of God! (1 Corinthians 3:16-17) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
