Our Lord who made the world and all that is in it sadly was not known by it, and even when He went unto His own they did not receive Him. He truly was unlike the world and it’s ways (John 1:10-13) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

 He was different in so many ways,even His peace was not as the worlds way of peace as He said (John 14:27) Peace I leave with you,my peace I give unto you:not as the world giveth,give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled,neither let it be afraid.

 His strength was different for He was indwelled with the holy spirit, but He has not left us without the same power and strength when we repent of our sin and turn to Him (John 16:13-15) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (Acts 2:38,39)

 His conversation and thought’s were unlike the world. Overall we are instructed to be as He is in this world,and by renewing our minds through the written word our conversation too will reflect the will of God just as His sons’ did. (1 Peter 2:11,12) Dearly beloved,I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims,abstain from fleshly lusts,which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles:that,whereas they speak against you as evildoers,they may be your good works,which they shall behold,glorify God in the day of visitation.

 May we learn to renew our minds by meditating upon the word daily (Psalm 1).
