It is not of our appointing the choice of people who do the will of God, it is God’s choosing who will be His spokesperson, and for us to attain a title of man it is in Gods eyes no honor at all (Job 32:21,22) Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
All that happens within the earth is by Gods choice. We did not choose Him, but He chose and ordained us to bring forth fruit! ( John 15:15,16) Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
The world paints the picture that we are all Gods children and accepted by Him no matter what, But Peter and the disciples knew it is those who fear God and do His will that are accepted by Him (Acts 10:34,35).Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Those who truly serve God and teach His way will be ridiculed as though they do not know what they are talking about, but when Peter and the disciples taught Gods will it was Gamaliel who told those who sought to stop them from teaching in Jesus name they should back off lest they find they are fighting against God. This proves that through the Holy Spirit we too who carry His message are called of God to also suffer for His sake! (Acts 5:34-42) Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
King Neb-u-chad-nezzar learned very well the abasing power of God as he was in high stature of the people as king yet he found out that God gives his kingdom or any kingdom to the ruler of His choice. It was in the interpretation that Daniel gave to the King that God does not choose what the world views as prominent and important, but it is He who set’s up kings and yet allows their decline at times (Daniel 4:16,17) Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
“But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him…”
When our hearts are set solely on fulfilling His call we can rejoice with others in God’s expression through them being free from jealously or pride…
Good share as always!
