Just as the Israelites were freed from the bondage of Egypt, so are we taken from the bondage of sin and of serving false god’s to never be taken captive again by the power of the flesh! The beautiful way the world presents sin in a pretty package is no match for the Holy Spirit given by a Holy God and we do not return to it’s beggarly elements of empty promises. (Galatians 4:7-11) Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Christ would have died in vain if we repent of our sins only to return to them as though repentance has no redemptive power for us, it is up to us to not return to the way of life we once lived which separated us from Christ! (Galatians 5:1) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
When we are born again we find there is true liberty and freedom from bondage in the body of Christ. Those of the world will make you feel as though you are no different, but we know the free from fear Spirit we have been given by promise which has caused us to be the children of the living God (Romans 8:14-16) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
To this day those born of the Spirit are fought against by those who are not, as we read of the two sons of Abraham as one was born of bondage and the other was born by promise. As christians we are those born of Abraham by promise! (Galatians 4:22,23,28-31) For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
For anyone who has truly been born again of the spirit, we can remember how much the truth of the word made a huge difference in our life. The more we read the word the more we were far removed from the way of the world, as we learned of a new and much better way to live! It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

When we understand the Word of God, it truly makes a huge difference in the way we look at life. We feel guilty to return to the same sin since we know the consequences. I look back into my previous years and see myself at the top of the cliff. I have truly come from far. If there is anyone who has experienced the Lord’s freedom, it’s me. I love to do anything within my reach to help people out of bondage.
Your comment reflects one that has understood the genuine saving grace given by making the choice to change and serve God! By saying you will do anything to help others out of bondage proves you love the Lord! Stay Strong and God Bless You.
