God does not want His children being in constant chaos and disruption, and when we place our faith in Him we find the peace that passes all understanding! His holy spirit is a comfort the world cannot even begin to give us. We are instructed to meditate upon the word and by doing so the world around us is not as overwhelming. (Psalm 1:1-3) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
It is up to us what we choose to think about within the day, and unless we surrender wrong thought’s or thought’s of unrest to the Lord our day gets filled uneasiness and stress. (Matthew 11:28-30) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Scripture gives us many things that will bring us peace if we apply it to our life! (Philippians 4:8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
As christians we are to set our thought’s on things above, and it is then we find the peace we seek when we look up and not stay focused on what surrounds us! (Colossians 3:1-4) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Our Lord said the peace the world offers is not like the peace only He can provide “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27).
Psalm 91 has always given me strength and comfort for the day!
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. (2 Corinthians 13:11).
I’m so thankful for God our Father through Jesus 🙏🏻❤️🙌
Amen! He is our only Hope in this life.
