“A Jealous God”

jealous God We have at one time or another felt jealousy, for the one we’re jealous of we feel has betrayed us and they are ours.God feels Jealous over his children if they serve anyone but him.

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,or any likeness of anything that is in Heaven above,or that is in the earth beneath,or that is in the water under the earth:Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:for I the Lord thy God am a Jealous God,visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that Love me,and keep my commandments”.(Exodus 20:4-6).graven image

Did you know that he Loves his Children so much that he says in his word his name is Jealous. “For thou shalt worship no other god:for the Lord, whose name is Jealous,is a jealous God”.jealous for me

It is with Godly jealousy our Father is jealous over us as one that is married and faithful only to him. “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy:for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you a chaste virgin to Christ”.(2 Corinthians 11:2).

The previous passage aligns with the story of the ten virgins where five were foolish and five were wise. The Bridegroom(Christ) came and those who were wise were able to enter into the Marriage supper of the Lamb.(Matthew 25:1-13)………….(Luke 13:25).Christ

John said it beautifully when he spoke that he was the one sent before the Bridegroom(Christ) and would rejoice at the voice his friend. “Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said,I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.He that hath the bride is the bridegroom:but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice:this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease”.(John 3:28-30).
