“SALVATION:Deliverance from the strength of sin…………To Be Saved”
The words life is short take on a whole new meaning if one is facing death, yet some do not consider many are taken away daily from accidents, unjust acts of others,or an unseen tragedy through storms.
It is written our life here is a vapour. “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say,If the Lord will,we shall live, and do this,or that”.(James 4:14,15).
Salvation is not usually the days topic. We can be assured of salvation for our life if we repent and are truly sorry for having lived away from a Holy and Just God.He is very merciful! There is nothing he won’t forgive if we humble ourselves and come before him.
Jesus is known as the stone which the builders rejected, but he is the chief cornerstone of his people saved by Grace. “This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.Neither is there Salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”.(Acts:11,12).
“For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape,if we neglect so great salvation;which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him”.(Hebrews 2:2,3).
God promised Abraham he would be a Father of many nations and to live a life for God brings us into the seed of Abraham’s family. “But thou,Israel, art my servant ,Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant;I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away”.
(Isaiah 41:8,9).
“For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath:we spend our years as a tale that is told”.(Job 8:9)…………(Psalm 90:9).
