Scriptures tell us of a time called the valley of decision, it is the final day of the Lord and his judgement. When we make a decision in life it is to decide on something that is either life changing, or it could be a very small thing such as figuring out a certain color to paint a room. For every action there is a reaction which means any choice we are making today will one day be answered for at the end of our life. The valley of decision is the harvesting of the earth and God will gather together all that remains after he has shaken the earth and in that day his people who are strengthened by him will be unshaken! “Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel”.(Joel 3:13-16).
We are told of the way the earth trembled and shook as God parted the waters of the red sea and then led the Israelites out of Egypt on dry land. He will once again shake the earth before his return. “The voice of thy thunder was in heaven: the lightenings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook. Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known. Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron”.(Psalm 77:18-20). We only have now for the past is gone and tomorrow is in the hands of God the Father, and our actions and words are vital to the decision made by God of where our soul will end up. “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say to you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned”.(Matthew 12:35-37).
The people of God are a strong people for by his Holy Spirit they will remain no matter what. There will be a falling away before the great day of his return and his children will be unshaken when God once again shakes the earth for the final time! “See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be removed, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire”.(Hebrews 12:25-29).
