What if it were possible to wipe the slate clean of things you have done that was not in the will of God? Fortunately He has made a way through repentance on our part and a new life now awaits you! It is more than just simply saying you believe in God,but if we make a conscious effort to turn our life around and surrender it to Christ He will forgive us (1 Peter 4:1-5) 1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: 5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
Sure you will seem different to the world that surrounds you, just know even if others do not understand your good conversation in Christ they will be made stronger just as you are in Him now when they come to the truth you have learned! (James 5:19,20) 19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Remember we are not called to the world,we are called out of the world and it’s ways that do not please the Lord. (Colossians 3:1-10).
Jesus never went around saying….But you have to believe me! He plainly spoke His Fathers words and was confident He was doing His Fathers will, and we too do the same as His follower’s.(2 Corinthians 5:17-21) 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Psalm 103:11-13
Praise the Lord, He make all things new again. Thank you for reminding us of how precious we are to God. Blessings.
Yes! How wonderful it is to know God saves us from ourselves when we think we’re doing just fine.God Bless your day Beverley.
