Through the holy spirit of God we are of the household of faith, whose foundation is built upon the apostles and prophet’s. This house stands by the strength and love of God! (Ephesians 2:18-22) 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

How we conduct our household says a lot about if God is in the center of it. In Joshua’ address he made it perfectly clear he and his house would not serve the gods of his forefather’s, but God Himself (Joshua 24:14,15) 14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

 In a house in which God is put first you can even feel the presence and peace of the Lord, and sadly enough this is also true of where people do not choose to have God to dwell among them for there is constant chaos and unrest and that you can feel as well (Psalm 119:165) 165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
